Like any great romantic movie that takes place in an airport, that’s where Lauren & Pete’s story began. At Sky Harbor in Phoenix, AZ. They met while Pete was working and quickly hit it off. With their shared passion for aviation, they are pursuing their careers in the field and enjoying the life of travel and adventure. So it was inevitable that we include their love for aviation into their Arizona airport runway engagement session. I guess you could say we’re a bit obsessed with these airport sessions lately. ;)

Pete & Lauren took us to this quaint little private airport in Chandler called Stellar Airpark, a friendly neighborhood and community of fellow aviation lovers and pilots. We were smitten with it’s charm and homey feel to the neighborhood and even it’s residents who were more than accommodating to us and our creative need to invade their space. ;)

But can we just get to the point already… we had access to the runway… THE ACTUAL RUNWAY, GUYS! We couldn’t believe it. Photographers everywhere would jump up and down with joy if they had this opportunity. Needless to say, we were stoked. Their session even made it on our Dream Shoots list!! It was a (somewhat) dangerous and thrilling adventure, looking over our shoulder every few minutes for incoming vintage aircraft. I think it made the pictures that much more fun to edit.
