At first sight

It was one of those boy-meets-girl, love at first sight moments. One that marks the beginning for Alyx and Denton and the story they started writing together. But in order to tell this story we need to set the scene. Which means we’ll need to take you to the ER. Yep, the Emergency Room… at Chandler Regional Hospital.

Denton was working a shift as an EMT in the emergency room at Chandler Regional when he spotted a pretty girl. A pretty girl who happened to be volunteering at that same ER. Denton oriented Alyx to the department, all the while their attraction for each other growing stronger by the day.

Hey pretty girl

Love notes were passed back and forth, some slipped into their lockers, others tucked sweetly beneath the windshield wiper of their cars. But as time passed, Alyx could guess that with every note from Denton it would begin the same way: “Hey pretty girl.” A Kip Moore song reference that would one day become more than just another song on the radio. From their first date at San Tan Brewery, and the days leading up to Denton’s proposal, their relationship grew into an adventurous one.

From the mountain top

From the top of Humphrey’s in Flagstaff, AZ where they became boyfriend and girlfriend, to the peak of Snowbird Mountain in Utah where Denton fell to one knee, diamond ring in hand, and the permission of her father for her hand in marriage.

And with the valley’s below and the mountains surrounding them, Alyx said “Yes” to Denton’s proposal for an adventurous life together, as husband and wife.
