This is Jordan. A bright young lady with a phenomenal sense of humor. The kind that will even throw Doug for a loop. Jordan is more than just our subject in these photos. We’ve watched her grow into the woman she is becoming. Specifically a woman who’s set her heart on the University of Arizona so she can take the world by storm.

They’re family…

You see, Brooke grew up right along side Jordan, her brother Zack and Amy and Eric were practically her second set of parents. And from very early on, Doug realized how special they were. They were an extension of our family. Needless to say, they took to Doug pretty quickly, firing friendly banter back and forth with one another as soon as they’re within earshot.

We spent a beautiful afternoon with Jordan for her desert senior portraits and Amy accompanied her. We even got to meet Jordan’s boyfriend Dom and his mother who were also in town. With all of them involved in the process, it made the time together fly by. We laughed until our cheeks were sore and our stomachs were aching.

Donuts and figure-eights…

And I just want to point out that mad-props goes to Jordan, who is currently recovering from surgery to her foot and somehow ROCKED IT in wedges for her second outfit. Talk about commitment to great photos.

We strolled through the Desert Botanical Gardens with her riding along beside us in one of those old-school scooter carts, which of course we had a blast with. The jokes were flying. She even presented us her finale of sorts, (you saw it on our instagram-stories) with some donuts and figure-eights, kicking up dust as she went. Granted she was only going about a mile an hour, but nevertheless it had us all in fits of laughter.

Here comes the sappy part…

This is the type of session we love, within the company of family, a beautiful setting and the perfect Arizona evening breeze. It’s the kind we look back on when we think about how awesome this job is, the amazing people we meet along the way and the incredible memories we now have because of it all. We really are lucky to do what we do.
