It’s time to break out the sweatpants and scarves and start chugging down that hot apple cider, because… FALL IS FINALLY HERE! It feels like this time of the year is always the farthest in reach. Maybe it’s this Arizona heat that just won’t quit, but summer seems to take its sweet little time out here. Today, though, is another day and officially marks the start of the best season of the year. Now all we can hope for is that the weather cooperates…

Living in Phoenix, it’s hard to witness the change of season. Last year I was craving the northern trees and their colorful October leaves so we took the two hour trip to our favorite little college town, Flagstaff. It was on a whim and we didn’t have anything planned but to go up Mt. Humphrey’s to the mountainside meadow. But on our way through town we found a beer festival and a pumpkin patch, and life couldn’t have been better. Here’s some photos for you to reminisce that perfect weekend getaway along with me.
